DBL is a remarkable technology that assists new mothers as they get to grips with caring for a new human that they don’t really understand. DBL has unlocked the mystery of babies ‘babble’ to identify a baby’s needs.
A complete business renovation.
DBL is not a new technology. It’s been around since 2006. The business already had great insight into how to talk to new mothers effectively. However, up to this point the business had been focused on DVD sales and training. Developing an app was urgent. The client also felt their identity wasn’t as contemporary as it could be. Therefore, we were engaged for a root and branch redesign.
Keeping it simple.
Easy, uncomplicated and reassuring were the key words in our minds.
We started by drawing a simple, clean logo. Our team then used it as a starting point with brand guidelines outlining how it could be consistently applied to give the DBL brand. The hero ‘watermelon’ colour that goes across the entire identity was inspired by the colour all humanity shares – our tongues.
Thrilled with the result, we were invited to design the UI / UX for the new app. This also involved designing the landing pages and A/B testing messaging to drive new prospects to the App Store and Google Play. To complete the marketing funnel, we developed the social content pillars and templates to engage with new customers. These dovetailed beautifully with the facebook and instagram ads we created too.
We wanted to get it right. After all, there is one born every minute.
